Part-time HR Coordinator

Nature Of Duties: First Capital Enterprises is currently accepting applications for a part-time HR Coordinator (20 Hours Per Week). Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Participates in all phases of the hiring and certification process;
2. Coordinates applicable forms to go to the ODDD for all staff training sessions;
3. Ensures that staff evaluation and merit pay systems are administered in compliance with Board Policies; prepares change of status forms;
4. Acts as Equal Opportunity and HIPPA Compliance Officer;
5. Assures compliance to all applicable wage and hour laws as they pertain to staff;
6. Acts as agency liaison:
• to providers of fringe benefits for staff
• in matters involving the Bureau of Workers Compensation and attends Ross County Safety Council Luncheons to qualify for discounts
• in matters involving staff / employee disability claims
• in matters involving staff unemployment claims
• in matters concerning COBRA benefits when applicable;
7. Assists staff with insurance and other benefit enrollment, questions and problems;
8. Submits monthly HR activities report for FCE Board, attends monthly Board meetings and committee meetings as required;
9. Handles employment and wage verifications as required per current agency Policy;
10. Maintains the agency’s computerized vacation and absence calendar;
11. Prepares and submits the Ohio (New Hire) Reporting Forms;
12. Adheres to all policies and procedures set forth by the FCE Board of Directors;
13. Participates in activities and events, including fund raising endeavors, relevant staff meetings and training sessions;
14. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications: Prior experience and certification in Human Resource functions (particular in the DD field) preferred; proven project management skills; a minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent in related training or proven work experience. Drug test required. Ability to plan, organize and execute tasks with specific deadlines, and to work with minimal supervision; excellent verbal and written communication, time and record management skills and intermediate command of basic computer programs, as well as an understanding of and appreciation for employee-employer relations; above average knowledge of employee benefits, and governmental requirements; will be required to take a RCBDD acceptable behavior support class, MUI/Client Rights class, and TAPS.
