The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University seeks an instructor/advisor/event planner to begin academic year 2012-13. This non-tenure track appointment is for a nine-month, annually renewable position.
Teaching load will be a minimum of three undergraduate journalism courses per semester, in addition to serving as the primary pre-college and freshmen adviser for more than 200 students per year. Duties will include planning, coordinating and overseeing major school events.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree required.
Experience and expertise in teaching undergraduate courses in journalism, including Precision Language, as well as other writing and mass communication courses required.
Also must have event planning experience.
Academic advising experience required.
