Instructor of Speech-Language Sciences:
Ohio University is a doctoral/research intensive state university with 20,000 students on its picturesque Athens campus and another 8,500 students on five campuses.
The Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is within the School of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences in the College of Health Sciences and Professions. The entire college is housed within Grover Center. The Division of CSD includes 11 full-time tenure track faculty, 1 non-tenure track faculty, and staff members.

This is an 9 month, full-time, non-tenure track position that reports to the School Director of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, including but not limited to, Introduction to Communication Sciences and Disorders, Phonetics, Anatomy, and Speech Science.
Depending on background, teaching may include the areas of service learning, research, professional development, and clinical practice issues relevant to a career in communication sciences and disorders.
The position may also include teaching a few courses in speech-language pathology at the graduate level. The position includes undergraduate advising in CSD and assisting in service activities within the School.
Required Qualifications:
a. Master’s degree in speech-language pathology b. Commitment to quality undergraduate education c. Candidates must have outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to diverse faculty, staff, students and community members and an ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse constituencies, locally, nationally, and internationally. Preferred Qualifications a. Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or closely related field b. Successful college/university teaching c. Clinical experience in speech-language pathology (3 years) d. Experience or course work in research in CSD e. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
