Nature Of Duties:
Special Education Coordinator
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid K-12 Special Education/Intervention Specialist license from the State of Ohio.
- Supervisory and/or administrative experience in public school setting preferred.
- Evidence of five years of successful teaching experience in the special education classroom.
- Working knowledge of CCIP, Referral Systems, Multi-factored Evaluation Team Meetings, and Individualized Education Plan processes and forms.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals consistent with the duties.
- Evidence of above average skills in word processing, data base, and presentation software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a high moral character as evidenced by the absence of any criminal or unethical convictions or rehabilitation to the satisfaction of the Board of Education.
