Our Partners in Workforce Development

After several years of running a home-based business, Chillicothe local Kristi Davies found herself somewhat apprehensive about her qualifications during her recent job search. Workforce Development (WFD) programs were able to assist Kristi to realize she had a lot to offer even though she had been out of the workforce for awhile.

Transferable skills ares something that you gain in any job and they are seen as attributes to employers. "They (WFD) were wonderul at reassuring me I would find the right job." Davies said. "I truly believe that is how I came to work at my current position.

Kristi is now in her 6th month of employment with the Ross County Health District and was recently promoted to Department Supervisor from her initial post as an Account Clerk.

During her initial job search, Kristi used several avenues for her job seeking efforts but saw the Job Bank Website linked on chillicothe.com and checked it out. "The job postings on the website were wonderful." Kristi said, "They are listed by job types so I didn't spend a lot of time looking at listings I wasn't interested in."

"I am truly greatful that I was able to find such a great position in such a great office. I  look forward to going to work everyday." said Davies.

EMPLOYER TESTIMONIAL

"It feels like Kristi has been with us forever and we don't know what we would do without her!"

Wanda Whetsel, Director of Ross County Home Health.
