Interested in a nursing career close to home? Adena Health System and Wright State University welcome the community to an Informational Open House to learn more about earning a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree from Wright State while remaining in Chillicothe.
The Open House will be held on Tuesday, April 15 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Adena Regional Medical Center Tecumseh Room in Chillicothe.
The event will feature Wright State University academic advisors who will be available to review transcripts and answer questions regarding enrollment requirement for the program.
Nursing classes will be provided beginning Fall 2008 by Wright State through the PACCAR Medical Education Center, currently under construction on the campus of Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
The PACCAR Medical Education Center is designed to provide outstanding nursing education through collaboration with Ohio University-Chillicothe, Wright State University, and other partner institutions right in Chillicothe.
The Center will focus on education for nurses, allied health professionals and Adena staff. In addition, continuing medical education and new procedure training for physicians, community programs, and outreach for elementary and high school students on exposure to health careers will also be provided.
Other cutting edge features of the Center include the David Meade Massie Virtual Hospital, a high-tech area in a safe environment that includes mannequins that mimic human responses which can help in teaching healthcare providers new skills, evaluate current levels of performance, and promote team communication. Surgical labs, technologically advanced classrooms and an auditorium are also planned.
Any interested community member is invited to attend the free informational open house to learn more about earning a BSN through Wright State University at the PACCAR Medical Education Center.
